Disney 2012 - Day 2 Magic Kingdom

This trip is definitely not a relaxing one. We set our alarms for 6:30am so we could get ready, have some breakfast and get headed to the park by 8:45am. We had to check in at the resort office at 9am then were headed to the Magic Kingdom. Dru met a little girl her same age as we were waiting for the transport tram. They even held hands! I couldn't tell you her name but Dru was very upset that we had to separate them once the tram came.

We took the tram to the Transportation Center where we (mainly I) chose to take the ferry across the water to the park. It was slower than the monorail that went around the lake so we only took it once.

Once we arrived outside the gates we had our bags checked and then went through the turnstyles where we had to use our ticket while the machine scanned our fingerprint. From then on only that person could use the ticket. (an adult can do it for a child, but then also has to be the same adult each time) Wow! We started by retrieving FastPASSes for the Princess meet n greet and then headed to the castle for some photo ops. We unknowingly got caught in the middle of a street party.

Once the street party cleared we headed to Fantasyland to start trying the rides. First stop, Mad Tea Party. Grandma Sue, Julie and Dru rode in a pink tea cup, and Leo, Grandpa John and I chose a yellow one. Leo was not fond of this ride but became more brave as the day went on.

After the tea cups, G & G took the kids on the Tomorrowland Speedway, we at a bit of lunch then headed back to meet the Princesses!!

The kids LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the princesses!
From there we rode the Buzz Lightyear ride, took the Tomorrowland Transporation Authority, Cinderella's Carousel, It's A Small World, watched Mickey's Philharmagic, and rode Winnie the Pooh ride (twice),

Once final photo as this tired group headed for "home". The kids did really well without napping and we left around 6pm. With only one almost lost child episode at lunch, it was a near perfect day!
